AAMN Foundation sponsors multiple undergraduate and student scholarships every year depending on funding. All applicants must be current AAMN members, male students currently enrolled in accredited nursing programs; must have completed at least one academic term.

After College/ AACN Scholarship Fund $2500

The AfterCollege-AACN Scholarship Fund supports students who are seeking a baccalaureate, master’s or doctoral degree in nursing. Special consideration will be given to students in a graduate program with the goal of becoming a nurse educator; students completing an RN-to-BSN or RN-to-MSN program; and those enrolled in an accelerated program.

AORN Foundation Varies

The AORN Foundation awards scholarships to students who are pursuing a career in perioperative nursing and to registered nurses who are continuing their education in perioperative nursing by pursing a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree. The applicant must possess an interest in the field of perioperative/surgical nursing. This interest and/or experience must be clearly demonstrate in a personal statement. The selection of winners is based on academics, essay, financial need, and accurate completion of the application.

DAR Nursing $2000-2500

The Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship is a one-time $2500 scholarship  awarded to one student in financial need who has been accepted and enrolled into an accredited school of nursing.

The Madeline Pickett (Halbert) Cogswell Nursing Scholarship is a one-time $2500 scholarship awarded to two students who are accepted or enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. Applicants must be members, descendants of members or be eligible for membership in NSDAR.

The Mildred Nutting Nursing Scholarship is a one-time $2000 scholarship for two students who are in financial need and who have been accepted or are currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. Preference will be given to candidates from the Lowell, MA area.

Edna A. Lauterbach Scholarship Fund Up to $5900

The Edna A. Lauterbach Scholarship is offered every Spring to New York State licensed practical nurses (LPN) or registered nurses (RN) currently holding a nursing license in New York State that wish to pursue or further their careers in home and community-based care. The scholarship can be used for tuition, books, specialty training and education, and other education-related expenses.

Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association (FNSNA) Scholarships $1000-10,000

FNSNA Scholarships are open to students currently enrollment and matriculated in a state-approved nursing program leading to an associate degree, baccalaureate, diploma, generic pre-licensure doctorate or generic pre-licensure master’s degree; or enrolled in an RN to BSN completion, RN to MSN completion, or LPN/LVN to RN program.

CastleBranch-GNSA Scholarship $2500

This scholarship recognizes the outstanding work of graduate nursing students who are advancing the nursing profession through a commitment to innovation, leadership, and/or mentoring. Applicants must be enrolled in an AACN graduate nursing program and be a member of GNSA.

Johnson & Johnson Minority Nurse Faculty Scholarship $18,000

The Johnson & Johnson/AACN Minority Nurse Faculty Scholars program provides financial support to graduate nursing students from minority backgrounds who agree to teach in a school of nursing after graduation. Students must be enrolled full-time and preference is given to students in doctoral programs.

National Association of Hispanic Nurses Varies

Scholarship recipients are a select group of Hispanic nursing students who demonstrate promise of professional contributions to the nursing profession and who have the potential to act as role models for other aspiring nursing students. Scholarship awards are presented to NAHN members enrolled in accredited LVN/LPN, associate, diploma, baccalaureate, and graduate nursing programs.

National Black Nurses Association $1000-6000

NBNA is committed to excellence in education and conducts continuing education programs for nurses and allied health professionals throughout the year. The association provides annual scholarships for students. Must be a member of NBNA and a member of a local chapter (if one exists in your area). Candidate must be currently enrolled in a nursing program (B.S.N., A.D., Diploma or L.P.N./ L.V.N. Masters , and Doctoral) and in good scholastic standing at the time of application.

National Health Service Corps Tuition remission and monthly stipend

Nurse practitioner students can reduce their educational debt through the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Scholarship Program (SP) or the NURSE Corps Scholarship Program (NURSE Corps SP). Administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, these scholarship programs support nurse practitioner students committed to working in communities with limited access to care. Students can apply to one program—or both—but may only accept a scholarship from one.

Nurses of Tomorrow $2000

The Nurses of Tomorrow Scholarship offers three $2000 scholarships and is funded by Medical Solutions and its Traveling Nurses in honor of Nurses Week. It is intended to provide scholarship support for undergraduate nursing students with demonstrated financial need and to help develop the world’s next generation of nurse leaders and educators. The scholarship was endowed for nursing to help those students in need of financial assistance and to combat the growing nursing shortage. Funds are not available for graduate study unless it is for a first degree in nursing.

NURSE Corps Scholarship Program Tuition remission and stipend

NURSE Corps Scholarship Program (NCSP) enables students accepted or enrolled in a diploma, associate, baccalaureate or graduate nursing programs (including Nursing Bridge Programs: RN to BSN; RN to NP and non-nursing Bachelor’s to NP) are eligible to receive funding for tuition, fees and other educational costs in exchange for working at an eligible Critical Shortage Facility (CSF) upon graduation. The NURSE Corps Scholarship Program is a selective program of the U.S. Government that helps alleviate the critical shortage of nurses currently experienced by certain types of health care facilities located in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs). Upon graduation, NURSE Corps Scholarship recipients work at these facilities for at least 2 years, earning the same competitive salary and benefits as any new hire. As much as half of the award funds are reserved for students pursuing a master’s level nurse practitioner degree.

Cherokee Uniforms "A Nurse I Am" Scholarship $2000

Cherokee Uniforms created this scholarship to encourage people to join, and stay in, the nursing profession. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited LVN/LPN, RN degree (ADN or BSN), diploma, or RN-to-BSN program and write an essay of 300 or fewer words explaining why they want to pursue a career in nursing.

The Barbara Rhomberg Excellence in Nursing Scholarship, sponsored by B4 Brands, is awarded each year to a non-traditional, fulltime student pursuing undergraduate degrees in nursing.  Scholarship winners receive a non-renewable scholarship of $1,000 payable directly to the institution in which they are enrolled.

Paul Ambrose Scholars Program Project support and support to attend conference

The Paul Ambrose Scholars Program exposes health professions students to influential public health professionals and prepares them to be leaders in addressing population health challenges at the national and community level. Health professions students will select a community-based that addresses health promotion or disease prevention within their community and/or institution. With support from APTR, students have one-year to complete and report on outcomes.
