Computers & Printing

Chromebooks

MSJC students who are currently registered for credit classes can borrow a Chromebook for the entire semester. Chromebooks are available at each campus library on a first-come, first-served bases while supplies last.

Library Computers

The MSJC Libraries provide computers, free Internet and WiFi access. Library computers are equipped with Microsoft Office software.

Priority use of library computers is for student study and research. Computer users who violate acceptable computer use policies may have their computer privileges withdrawn.

Guest users may request computer access at the Menifee Valley and Temecula Valley campus libraries. At this time, guest users are not able to use library computers at the San Jacinto campus due to current equipment limitations preventing guest authentication.

Printing & Copying

Printing and copying is available to current MSJC students. Cost varies for black and white and color copies. The MSJC Printing FAQs page outlines further details on accessing the college's printing system. Please see library staff for assistance.

Computer Use Policy

Since the Libraries’ computers are in public areas, users should not access websites that contain any material that may be offensive to others. All computer users must abide by the MSJC Computer Acceptable Use Policy (AP 3720) and must not engage in any behavior that is not consistent with MSJC Standards of Student Conduct (AP 5500) and/or the laws of the United States. The intent of this provision is not to limit academic freedom but to respect others using these facilities. Students who are conducting legitimate academic research on a subject that may be controversial should notify library staff before using a library computer to access this material.

Below are only some examples of unacceptable library computer use. Refer to AP 3720 for complete details. Computer users may not:

  • Carry out illegal or intentionally offensive or slanderous activities
  • Access pornographic or violent material without prior approval
  • Use abusive or harassing language in online communications to any MSJC student, faculty, or staff
