Requesting a book from the MSJC Library. If you find a book in the catalog that is at the MSJC campus you can request that it be sent over to Menifee. You will need to have a MSJC library account. If you don't have an account, click here to see how to get your account set up. Follow these steps when you need a book from the MSJC library.
If you don't find what you need in MSJC's collection you can search the catalogs of other libraries and then request those titles (up to three) be sent to you here at SJC. Make sure you give yourself enough time because it can take up to two weeks for the books to get here.
1. Try WorldCat WorldCat is the world's largest online catalog. You will literally be searching thousands of library catalogs at once. This is a great resource if you are researching that elusive topic: Request the books you found by entering the author, title, etc. in SJc's Online Interlibrary Request Form. Now sit back and relax, you will receive an e-mail to your student email when your books arrive.
2. IEALC -The IEALC (Inland Empire Academic Libraries Cooperative) is a cooperative agreement between 16 academic libraries that allows currently enrolled students to borrow materials from other participating libraries. The IEALC consists of college and university libraries located within, Riverside, San Bernardino, and eastern Los Angeles counties. To borrow from member libraries, visiting IEALC students must present their current College ID card along with a valid IEALC card.
Mt. San Jacinto College students may apply at the San Jacinto or Menifee Campus Libraries circulation desk for a current IEALC membership card. Continuing students will need to reapply each academic year. Please check with member colleges and universities regarding their borrowing policies.
